800G QSFP-DD800 (200G per line)
The single-channel 200G PAM4 technology used in the 800G QSFP-DD800 (200G per line) is the next major technology step in optical intensity modulation, direct detection interconnects, which will be the foundation for 4-channel 800G connections and a fundamental component of future 1.6Tb/s interconnects. In order to achieve the strict power consumption requirements of pluggable modules, a DSP chip with a low nm count will be designed in a CMOS process and low power signal processing algorithms will be used to achieve channel equalization.
